These days, people do see me pretty often on ‘The Voice.’ And television has been such a great platform for me, not only as a face and a personality, [but also] for my music career. I just feel it’s been such great position for me to be there amongst some of the best people in the music industry — I mean … Usher, Shakira, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo. And the list goes on. You just enhance yourself just by being there, your fan base just continues to grow. … And it’s great because I do have a lot of activity and interaction with the fans and end up being the voice to the fans out there.
On her music career taking off:
Well, I’m still living my dreams and still striving to achieve my goals. Some of the people on the show aren’t necessarily me either. Some have had their ups and downs, their trials and tribulations with the music business and that’s why they’re here. But, by watching them, I’m living through them in a lot of ways too.
On how she felt finding out she was going to be a mom:
I wasn’t scared. I was excited when I found out I was pregnant. Of course, when you find out that first time, you’re like ‘Oh my God! My life is changing. From here on out my life has changed.’ And then you realize that miracle that is inside of you and what’s happening. Even the ups and downs outside my pregnancy, I enjoyed each and every moment of my pregnancy. And the second that I had her, I knew that it was meant to be. Like I never questioned God and I knew that everything was happening for a reason. Now if you had asked me before I was pregnant and before I was married to The-Dream, I thought that I would never have a baby at this time in my life. But everything fell into place.
