I’d never seen dollars before in my life. And then I got $100, and it kept increasing. I would send my mom cash. What made me happy was that, suddenly, I could help my family.” On being motivated by money:“When you grow up without it, you want to have it. It’s funny, in America some people say, ‘Why do you want to make money so much?’ And I say, ‘Well, I guess you didn’t starve as a kid.’” On not wanting to be typecast to ‘hot woman’ roles:“I really have to protect myself.
