Arianny Lopez, 26, of Las Vegas, and Praveen Chandra, 34, of Sherman Oaks, Calif., each was arrested on a misdemeanor battery domestic violence charge after police were called at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday to their room at the Wynn Las Vegas casino resort, according to a Las Vegas police report released Tuesday.
Neither was badly hurt or sought hospital treatment.
Lopez has modeled for magazines including Playboy under the name Arianny Celeste, and has been a UFC ring girl since 2006.
She told police she threw a glass vase at Chandra in a struggle to get away from him. The throw missed.
Lopez accused Chandra of choking her and squeezing her arm during an argument that started in a limousine on the way to their hotel room, police said. Lopez cut her foot stepping on broken glass.
Chandra claimed Lopez kicked him in the face during a struggle for his cellphone in the limousine, and police reported Chandra had swelling on his face near his nose.
Chandra told police he video-recorded Lopez crying and yelling during an argument in the room about Chandra text-messaging other women. The loud argument ended when a hotel employee arrived at the door.
Lopez and Chandra were freed on unspecified bail pending Friday’s court appearances before a justice of the peace. It was not immediately clear if either had a lawyer.
The charges could get each up to six months in jail, a $1,000 fine and mandatory domestic violence counseling.
